I'm a San Francisco-based traveler and product manager. In 2024, I quit my job and visited 26 countries over the course of a year and a half. When I returned, the one country I couldn't stop thinking about was China.
High-speed rail between every major city. EVs that charge in five minutes. Humanoid robots in production facilities. Cities larger than anything I'd seen, with affordable housing, clean transit, and noodles that made me want to stay longer. China is moving fast, and most Americans are only reading about it in the news.
I started China Tech Tours because I wanted more people to see Chinese innovation firsthand. Together with my Chinese partner Yaqi, I've built relationships with local entrepreneurs, organized access to factories and AI companies, and designed an itinerary that leaves room for the unplanned adventures that end up being the most memorable part of any trip.
We'll tour factories and visit hardware markets, sit down with operators and experts, and eat extraordinarily well. My style is comfortable but not luxury. Organized but not over-planned. My goal is to give you a tech-focused view into a country worth understanding.
If any of that resonates, I'd love for you to join us.
I'm an anthropologist and resident of Hangzhou for the past three years.
Originally from China, I went to college in the US and earned an MSc at LSE, then spent several years consulting at Deloitte in Chicago before returning home. I'm a global traveler who loves meeting people from all over the world — and in my spare time, a Tai Chi practitioner.
I've built relationships with tech companies across China to give visitors real access — not the lobby tour, but the factory floor, the engineers, the operators. Fluent in Mandarin, I'm here to arrange a seamless experience and get you into the rooms and in front of the people who can help you understand Chinese innovation firsthand.
